Trees for Cities (and Enfield): get involved!

Sat 1st Dec: Tree planting at Stagg Hill

As part of this project and as part of the Mayor’ initiative to plant trees, on Saturday 1st December it is proposed to plant 100 saplings on land at Stagg Hill. Starting at 10 am meet and briefing, finishing no later than 4 pm (could be earlier depending on amount of participants, weather, and if all trees are planted) Location: Slopers Pond Farm, Stagg Hill, EN4 0HL.   If you are able to help please contact Light refreshments will be provided and facilities are available. Please bring own lunch.

Sun 2nd Dec: Mass tree-planting in Edmonton

Enfield Council are working with the organisation Trees for Cities to plant 3,000 young trees (called ‘whips’) on Sunday 2nd December between 10am and 3pm at Montagu Road Recreation Ground, Edmonton, and volunteers are being sought to help this great endeavour. If you would like to take part, please register on-line. This event is part of a huge mass tree-planting being organised across London over the weekend of 1st and 2nd December when 25,000 trees will be planted.
