Ward boundaries: final proposals published
The Local Government Boundary Commission in England (LGBCE) have now published their final proposals for the London Borough of Enfield and it confirms the boundaries as suggested by the previous consultation—the Enfield Town railway line will form the boundary between the wards.
The LGBCE have accepted, however, the recommendation to rename the ward to the north to be “Southbury” and not Bush Hill Park North. Thus, the southern ward will become (or remain) “Bush Hill Park”.
If confirmed by Parliament, these changes will be introduced in time for the 2022 local elections.
As far as the BHPRA is concerned, it will mean that in future we will have to deal with two sets of councillors as we have a large proportion of members living in what will become Southbury.
